Road Ahead — Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Road Ahead app and website (the "Service"), provided by Halyard Analytics LLC ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Safety first. Road Ahead is entertainment and information — not a navigation system. Never let it distract you from driving. Do not look at, or interact with, your phone while operating a vehicle. Always obey traffic laws, watch the road, and follow official signage and directions. You are solely responsible for driving safely.

1. The Service

Road Ahead is an AI-powered GPS companion that discovers and narrates stories about places near you. The Service is offered on an "as-is" basis and is under active development (including beta features); it may change, and availability isn't guaranteed.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, and the Service is not intended for children under 13.

3. Subscriptions, credits, and payments

Some features use credits or require a subscription, purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase. Prices and inclusions are shown at purchase.
Payment, billing, and renewals are handled by Apple under its terms; manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
Except where required by law or Apple's policies, purchases and consumed credits are non-refundable.

4. Content you provide

Road Ahead carries two kinds of content you can create — casual community stories, and, if you're a creator, full tours and events. In both cases you keep ownership of what you make.

Community stories

You retain ownership of stories, notes, and other content you post. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it within the Service.
You are responsible for what you submit and represent that you have the rights to it. Don't submit content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, harassing, deceptive, or violates others' privacy.
We may moderate, remove, or decline to display content, and may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

Creator content — tours & events

You own your creator content. The tours, events, channels, points of interest, text, audio, and images you build remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, adapt (for example, to format it and generate speech), and distribute your content within the Service so we can deliver it to your audience — for as long as you keep it published. When you unpublish or delete it, we stop distributing it (cached copies clear in the ordinary course).
You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to everything you publish — including any recordings, music, images, logos, trademarks, and third-party material — and that it doesn't infringe anyone's rights or break any law. You are responsible for its accuracy and for any claims it makes.
We may display your creator content to users inside your event or tour, apply reasonable moderation, and remove content or suspend a creator account that violates these Terms.
We may provide you aggregate, non-identifying statistics about how your content performs (such as play counts). We do not share personal information about individual users with you.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service. In particular, don't reverse engineer it, disrupt it, scrape or resell its content, attempt to access other users' data, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

6. AI and third-party content

Stories are generated by AI using facts drawn from public sources (such as Wikipedia, OpenStreetMap, and government open data). AI-generated and third-party content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Do not rely on it for decisions where accuracy matters. Third-party sources are subject to their own licenses, which are credited in the app.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Halyard Analytics LLC and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content is accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HALYARD ANALYTICS LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY DRIVING-RELATED INCIDENT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Halyard Analytics LLC from claims arising out of your content or your misuse of the Service.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service and its users.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date; continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
